All the same, comparing them to UA's will still intrigue me.Download NOW Plugin Alliance Bundle Crack 4.6 Plus Mac & Windows As subtle tone coloring for mixing, Ive never used it so this PA offering is curious but not as captivating to me as the others I listed originally. It is rarely discussed but as a front end, I think it is gorgeous. I have, however, used that creamy Unison pre to track tons of vocals, drums and guitars since its release (more than any other Unison pre, actually). Though, I must admit, I've never used the UAD V76 for coloring on a track/bus during a mix (which is what this PA iteration appears to be). As a tone box on a channel, it will be very, VERY interesting to compare the two. Since the GUI is based on the original vintage hardware, it obviously looks exactly like the UAD Unison pre. **edit, forgot to mention they have their own Telefunken V76/U73 coming out in a month. I am not sure they do but I can say that I wouldn't mind taking some load off my CPU with some of these and giving it to my more newly, more available UAD DSP Do they really neeeeeed to keep releasing anything with UA?. I mean, that is some serious stuff coming our way. Some upcoming PA releases that I am excited aboutĪmek 9099 (undoubtedly the console plugin iteration of the AMEK/Neve 9098i)
I'd love it in UAD as I am now finding I've UAD DSP to spare, especially since the LUNA summing and extensions do so much heavy lifting that there requires much less individual track processing. In order to take some load off my cpu, I am trying my damnedest to get another UAD 2 bus/mastering EQ to sound close to what the Amek sounds like and I cannot. I had started a mix with polite mix bus eq using the Amek and it also is contributing to bringing my iMac to a coughing halt in LUNA. I am seriously trying I am trying to alleviate cpu processing because the Neve Summing over 6-10 busses is a hog. I've no idea what, if anything, will be ported to UAD but I can tell you this, I can't get the Massive Passive or the CurveBender to come close to what the Amek 200 is doing to my 2 bus. The first dropped 3 days ago, an Orange amp model. I just received an email with the announcement of 15 new plugins for this Summer and Fall. For subscribers, they do give these absurd annual vouchers that, combined with a PA sale, allowed me to get the Focusrite (and ACME) which is normally another jaw dropping $349.Īnyhow, this Plugin-Alliance crew is burning the midnight oil. Their newest and heaviest hitters are still yet to be discounted in a significant way - SHMC Class A, SSL 9000J and the Amek 200 (which I freaking love except for its CPU footprint) are still spendy even during these summer discounts - we won't be seeing these on sale combined with vouchers for $29 anytime soon, I would imagine.
